OUTRAGE: Democrat Faces Backlash Over Sharing Guillotine Image with Trump’s Head — Career Now at Risk

North Carolina State Representative Julie von Haefen (D) is under intense fire after posting a video from a Raleigh “No Kings” demonstration, which featured a disturbing sign depicting a guillotine with a head resembling President Donald Trump. The incident has sparked a major political controversy.

Shortly after the backlash began, von Haefen deactivated her social media profiles and apologized, saying she had edited the video to remove the offensive image. She stated, “I condemn all forms of political violence.”

However, state leaders remain unconvinced. N.C. GOP Chair Jason Simmons stated, “Her posts reflect poor judgment and temperament unfit for public service. She should resign.”

House Speaker Destin Hall condemned the “shameful conduct” and highlighted the troubling timing: “While a gunman targeted lawmakers in Minnesota, she glorified violence against political figures, including the President.”

Even Apex Mayor Jacques Gilbert criticized the display, calling it a “moral boundary crossed” that fosters division.

Conservative voices are demanding her ouster. A popular post declared, “Julie von Haefen doesn’t belong in government. After pushing controversial bills, now she promotes violent imagery against Trump. She must be removed.”

As the controversy intensifies, the question remains: Will von Haefen resign, or will Democratic leaders stand by her? One thing is clear — the uproar is far from over.
