A heartbreaking accident has struck Prince Harry’s circle. Michael Brudenell-Bruce, the 98-year-old 8th Marquess of Ailesbury, tragically died after falling from his bedroom window while trying to rescue his cat, Honeybun.
His longtime girlfriend, Teresa Marshall de Paoli, discovered him lying in a pool of blood, having suffered a fatal head injury after hitting the concrete patio below.
“It was a freak accident,” Teresa recalled, still shaken by the event.
The incident happened late Sunday night in Shepherd’s Bush, West London. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene. Though initially treated as suspicious, authorities have since confirmed the death was accidental.
The Marquess was mourned by Teresa, his daughter Lady Kathryn Brudenell-Bruce, and many others.
Michael Brudenell-Bruce was a former Eton student, Royal Horse Guards captain, and stockbroker. His family and friends are deeply grieving this sudden and tragic loss.
