The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta community is grieving the loss of one of its unforgettable figures—Khadiyah “KD” Lewis—who passed away on May 30 at the age of 44. The heartbreaking news was confirmed by her brother, Jamaal “Jay” Lewis. Her cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.
Her younger brother Elijah Inegbedion paid tribute with a moving message on Facebook, describing KD as a woman full of strength, love, and generosity. “You poured so much into me,” he wrote. “I’m forever proud to be your little brother.”
KD rose to public attention during Seasons 3 and 4 of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta as rapper Yung Joc’s business-savvy real estate agent—and later, girlfriend. Known for her fierce confidence and unapologetic presence, Khadiyah made waves on the show, standing out in a cast full of strong personalities.

But her story went far beyond reality TV drama.
A proud graduate of both Florida A&M University and Georgia State University, Khadiyah built a successful career as a tax consultant and real estate investor. She was the founder of multiple businesses, including a financial services firm and a real estate agency, and mentored others through her consulting work.
Though she had stepped out of the spotlight in recent years—her last public social media activity was in 2018—those who knew her never forgot the legacy she left behind.
Fans, friends, and former castmates have taken to social media to share their heartbreak and celebrate the life of a woman who defied expectations, embraced entrepreneurship, and stayed true to herself.
Rest in power, KD. 💐
Your presence will be missed, but your legacy lives on.
